2012 farm festivals — All dates TBA
Below are the festivals held in 2011. Check back later for information on festivals to be held in 2012.
Why come out to the farm? It is a thrill to see where your food comes from and its FUN! It's not as far away as it feels and there is something for everyone.
The festivals will be held on the following days. The end time is just a suggestion. Please try and arrive a least an hour before the end time to enjoy the farm but you don't need to be there at the beginning.
Planting Day— Sunday, May 29, 10:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. (yes, its Memorial Day weekend, but it's late this year). Potluck lunch at 1:00 p.m. Bring something to share. Sandwich fixings are good. Chips, salsa, desserts etc. I'll make a big salad with the fresh greens. There will be lemonade.
Garlic Harvest—Saturday, July 16 1:00 - 9:00 p.m. Supper at 5:00 or so. Menu: roasted garlic, french bread, cheese, salads, olives, fruit, desserts. BYO red wine or other beverages. I'll provide the garlic.
Corn Feed Celebration and overnight—Saturday, August 20, starting at 2:00 p.m. Come for the day or stay for the night in your tent. Breakfast provided in the morning. Supper provided by the farm. Sloppy joes made with local, grass fed beef, egg salad sandwiches from farm eggs, salads. Bring beverage. (No bottled water please)
Harvest Festival—Saturday, September 24, 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 25, 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. (come either day). Bring snacks for lunch and we'll have a big soup at about 4:00 p.m. Please bring bread, cheese, desserts etc. I'll make a vegetarian and meat soup. More details will be provided as the date approaches.
